Mackerel (Aila) Rawa fry
Ingredients
- Mackerel fish [Aila or Bhangda fish]
- Rawa (Semolina) For coating
- Onion Fried (Optional)
- Red chilly powder 3tsp
- Tamarind pulp 1/4cup
- Turmeric 1tsp.
- Cumin’s 1/2tsp
- Salt to taste
- Egg -1 for binding
- Riceflour-2tsp
- Curry leaves 5 to10
- Lemon slices(Optional)
- Oil for deep frying
Method
Firstly in a bowl mix tamarind juice, red chillies powder, turmeric, cumin’s, curry leaves ,salt ,add egg and 2tsps of rice flour for binding… these forms a red chilli paste keep it aside.
Clean the aila fish well... Now coat this masala to the cleaned fish and marinate it for an hour or so. After marinating is done remove the fishes along with the masala roll it out in semolina and deep fry till golden brown
Aila fry is ready... Serve it with Fried onions and lemon slices
