Moyars.com introduces FREE mobile news service for Moyars in India. This service will ensure that you are updated with all relevant community related news/information on your mobile phone through SMS.
What is SMS?
SMS is an acronym standing for Short Message Service. It is commonly referred to as text messaging or "texting" as well. Even in rural India, we can now see, people using text messaging service.
Why SMS facility here in moyars.com?
As we all know, moyars.com is available online 365 days a year and 24 hrs a day but only few Moyars have access to it, and also the actual time spent surfing is very less due to several factors such as time, cost etc. From a study and through other inputs, we understood that hardly 5% of Moyars have access to internet. While at the same time over 80% have mobile phones.
Since the majority of people have their mobile phones at arms reach through out the day, it makes sense to send important messages to members through SMS.
Unlike a phone call, you do not have to run out of the restaurant where you are eating, to answer the call; yet you still know when a SMS has arrived. The discreet nature of text messaging ensures you stay updated with minimal disturbance. Currently, we provide this facility only for Indian mobile numbers. No overseas numbers will be accepted now.
